What is Wolverine+?
Using a digital platform called Enriching Students, “Wolverine Plus” offers students a more structured, intentional approach to helping them succeed academically. Wolverine Plus offers the following:
- Students can schedule themselves to the teachers who can help them
- Students will learn time management skills by scheduling their support ahead of time
- Students will be accountable for this time as teachers can take electronic attendance
- Teachers can target students who need support by assigning them to their classrooms
- Teachers can schedule specific opportunities for test/quiz makeups
- Teachers can offer “enrichment” opportunities for students
On Mondays, students will stay in their 3rd-period class for a 15-minute scheduling period. By 12pm, all students must be fully scheduled for the week ahead; students who fail to schedule by this time will be assigned to an “Administrator’s W+” and will receive a consequence.
The students’ window to self-schedule for the week is from Friday at 11:10am until Monday at 12pm (the end of Monday’s Wolverine+). This year, students who successfully self-schedule for the week will be allowed to make changes to their W+ schedule before 8:30 am each block day.
Students are required to follow their W+ schedule each day. Students who fail to follow their W+ schedule will receive an "unexcused absence" to 8th period Wolverine+.
